The US government bond yields have risen but are still within recent range.
The yield on US Treasury bonds rose in afternoon trading in Asia, reversing the decline seen on Tuesday due to US data. Jens Peter Sorensen of Danske Bank said in a report that President Donald Trump's order to block Venezuelan oil tankers also slightly pushed up yields overnight, with both US Treasury bond yields and German bond futures returning to levels before the release of Tuesday's employment figures. "It is worth noting that the yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds has been trading in a narrow range of 4.14%-4.19% since last week," the chief analyst said. According to Tradeweb data, the yield on 2-year US Treasury bonds rose by 2.5 basis points to 3.502%, while the yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds rose by 1.9 basis points to 4.168%.
