According to the latest report on shipment tracking of foldable/rollable display panels by Counterpoint Research, Apple's purchase of panels for its first foldable screen model has driven a 46% year-on-year increase in foldable screen smartphone panel shipments in 2026. The folding screen iPhone will further solidify its dominant position in book form in 2026. The shipment share of multi-foldable form factor panels (such as the new Galaxy Z TriFold) will remain in the low single digits. Samsung Display is poised to become the biggest winner with a market share expected to exceed 50%.
