BYD pushes forward production testing of the L3 model, with 150,000 kilometers of testing already completed.

On December 17th, BYD has partnered with the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau and other departments to launch comprehensive internal testing of Level 3 autonomous driving in Shenzhen aimed at mass production. Currently, over 150,000 kilometers of actual road verification for Level 3 autonomous driving has been completed. This testing covers the high-speed roads open in Shenzhen, considering various scenarios such as rainy days, nights, and construction conditions. BYD is one of the first nine companies to be granted access to and conduct on-road pilot tests for Level 3 autonomous driving by four national departments in 2024.
