Armed attack incident occurred in southwest Colombia.

On December 16th local time, in Buenos Aires city, Cauca province, southwest Colombia, there was an armed attack against the national security forces. The local government stated that the attackers engaged in intense rifle gunfire against the police and military in the city center, and also placed steel cylinders suspected to contain explosives in residential areas. The security forces have launched a response operation. It is reported that the local government has asked residents to stay in their homes.
