Armed conflict in Sudan has killed over a hundred civilians in the central and southern regions this month.
On December 16, local time, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Trk, stated that since December 4, armed conflicts in the Kordofan region of central Sudan have resulted in at least 104 civilian deaths. Trk said that the Sudanese armed forces, along with the Rapid Support Forces and their allies in the Sudan People's Liberation Movement, have been escalating hostile actions in the Kordofan region, with multiple drone attacks causing serious casualties among civilians. He called on all parties involved in the conflict to immediately cease fire and prevent any violence against civilians.
