Shifting resources to adjust the AI strategy? Amazon's (AMZN.US) Luxembourg headquarters sets record for layoffs.
According to the Securities Times app, Amazon's decision to lay off 14,000 employees globally earlier this year is now causing aftershocks at its European headquarters in Luxembourg. In the coming weeks, Amazon is expected to lay off 370 employees locally, accounting for about 8.5% of its 4,370 employees. This layoff is the largest in at least twenty years for this small country, and has become a speed bump in the mutually beneficial relationship between Amazon and Luxembourg.
