Netflix's CEO is defending the acquisition of Warner Bros and reiterating their commitment to ensuring that Warner Bros films continue to be released in theaters. They stated, "We believe this is a victory for the entertainment industry, not an end. This deal is about growth: Warner Bros brings businesses and capabilities that we don't have, so there will be no business overlap or studio closures. We are strengthening one of Hollywood's most iconic studios, supporting jobs, and ensuring a healthy future for film and TV production. In the past, we have not prioritized theatrical releases because it is not Netflix's main business. But after the deal is complete, we will officially enter the theatrical distribution field."
