The visa-free policy for South Korea has significantly increased the number of passengers on China routes of Korean Air.

Korean Air released the "2025 Year-End Settlement" on its official website on the 11th, showing a significant increase in passengers on Chinese routes compared to last year. The data released by Korean Air shows a substantial increase in passengers on Chinese routes this year compared to the same period last year. Shanghai has become the most popular travel destination in China, with a year-on-year increase of 128,000 passengers flying from Korea to Shanghai. The number of passengers on the Beijing route increased by 71,000, and Qingdao by 63,000, both significantly higher than last year. Korean Air told reporters that the visa-free policy implemented by China is an important reason for the significant increase in the number of passengers on flights from Korea to China.
