On December 10, the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a proposal for the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Sichuan Province. It proposes to jointly build world-class industry clusters in electronic information, equipment manufacturing, and specialty consumer goods, and to strengthen the new energy and new materials industry clusters with global influence. It aims to enhance the aggregation and transformation functions of innovation resources, build a regional science and technology innovation center in the Chengdu-Chongqing area, promote the construction of the Western Science City, and support the construction of a socialist science and technology innovation pilot area with Chinese characteristics in Mianyang. It also supports the construction of a high-end equipment science and technology city in Deyang, and the high-level planning and construction of science and technology innovation corridors in the Chengdu central line and Tianfu Avenue. The implementation of the Sichuan-Chongqing science and technology innovation cooperation plan, accelerate the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing region's "Belt and Road" science and technology innovation cooperation zone and international technology transfer center, and jointly implement the "Double Thousand" science and technology cooperation plan.
