The Cyberspace Administration of China releases the "Measures for the Assessment of Cyber Data Security Risks".
The Cyberspace Administration of China has released the "Measures for the Assessment of Network Data Security Risks". It points out that relevant departments should order network data processors to rectify their activities if they find that there are network data processing activities that may harm national security or public interests during the organization of risk assessment work. Measures such as requiring them to stop processing important data can be taken against network data processors who do not rectify or refuse to rectify their actions. If provincial-level or above cyberspace administration departments and relevant departments find that network data processors have not conducted risk assessments as required by laws and regulations such as the Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China, they should dispose of them in accordance with the law. If assessment organizations violate these measures in conducting risk assessments, provincial-level or above cyberspace administration departments and relevant departments should order them to rectify their actions; in cases of serious nature, they may restrict or prohibit them from conducting risk assessment activities, hold relevant personnel accountable, and make public announcements; if they constitute a crime, they will be held criminally liable according to law.
