The food ingredient supply chain is shifting towards refinement. By 2025, it is expected that the food ingredient consumption market in China will reach over 10 trillion yuan.

According to the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's food ingredient industry has steadily expanded in scale, showing a stable growth trend overall. The food ingredient supply chain industry has made a transition from "extensive development" to "refined operation". From 2020 to 2024, the scale of China's food ingredient consumption market is expected to increase from 7.77 trillion yuan to 9.46 trillion yuan, with an annual compound growth rate of 4.0%; the scale of food ingredient circulation is expected to increase from 5.45 trillion yuan in 2020 to 6.21 trillion yuan in 2024, with an annual compound growth rate of 2.6%. In the first three quarters of this year, food ingredient consumption and circulation have seen growth of 2.1% and 2.4% respectively. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the overall scale of the food ingredient consumption market will exceed 10 trillion yuan.
