The 6th Membership Representative Assembly of the China International Friendship Cities Association was held in Hefei, Anhui from December 5th to 6th. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the work of the Friendship Cities Association since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and discussed and deployed the tasks of international friendship city work in the future. The conference emphasized the need to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, especially Xi Jinping's diplomatic thoughts and important instructions on international friendship city work, strengthen political leadership, adhere to both tradition and innovation, strengthen overall planning, enhance the effectiveness of coordination, and strive to achieve high-quality development of international friendship city work, better serve the overall diplomatic situation, and promote the economic and social development of the country and regions. The meeting elected the members of the 6th Council of the Friendship Cities Association and the leadership team. Yang Wanming was elected as the president.
