According to the introduction, the Housing Department started assisting the police in clearing debris around the fire-damaged buildings on the 4th, while also beginning further reinforcement work on units with severe structural damage. On the 5th, concrete cores of three of the affected buildings in the Ang Fook Court Estate were extracted. At the same time, a cross-departmental investigation team led by the Hong Kong Fire Services Department, along with personnel from the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, conducted an initial investigation of the oil and gas pipelines on the external walls of the confirmed location of the fire, but no damage was found. The Housing Department completed the removal of 15 public housing estates' scaffolding nets on the 4th, and samples from 400 private buildings with scaffolding nets have been taken for testing, with batches being sent for inspection. The Buildings Department also inspected all 18 building projects under its jurisdiction and took samples for testing. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government stated that all buildings undergoing major repairs will have their scaffolding nets removed by the 6th, and the Housing Department will strive to issue new operation guidelines next week, requiring all scaffolding net materials to be sampled on-site, tested at designated laboratories, and confirmed to be qualified before reinstallation.
