Shanghai Shipping Exchange: Coastal Comprehensive Freight Index Slightly Drops
The weekly report on the Chinese coastal shipping market released by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange on December 6th showed that this week, with the successive arrival of cold air, the daily consumption of northern power plants in Northeast and North China has increased, but the daily consumption of power plants in East and South China has been sluggish, with insufficient momentum after the uptrend. Downstream sentiment is strong, market transactions are slow, and coastal coal freight rates continue to decline. On December 5th, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange released the China Coastal Comprehensive Freight Index, which closed at 1125.02 points, a decrease of 3.9% from the previous period.
