Recently, the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, successfully developed the first self-adaptive hydrogel biomimetic suction cup in China, overcoming the core technical challenges in the field of underwater grabbing and fine manipulation. This breakthrough in key technology provides important technical support for the upgrading of related industries. In the process of developing the first self-adaptive hydrogel biomimetic suction cup in China, the research team innovatively designed a supramolecular hydrogel material. This material combines excellent flexibility and tear resistance, providing core material support for fine grabbing. At the same time, the team used 3D printing precision manufacturing technology to create a special structure suction cup integrating curved thin films and microchannels. Through structural optimization, it achieves adaptive and tight fitting with different materials and surface shapes, achieving a gentle and stable adsorption effect.
