According to the International Financial News APP, the Indian government is reviewing a telecom industry proposal that aims to force smartphone manufacturers to enable satellite tracking functions for more effective monitoring. This move has been opposed by Apple (AAPL.US), Google (GOOGL.US), and Samsung for privacy reasons, based on documents, emails, and information from five sources.
