Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission: Former Head of Hong Kong Central Securities Registry, Kelvin Choi Chun-wai, was convicted of insider trading and remanded into custody and supervision.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, following the earlier proposal of criminal prosecution by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the Eastern District Court ruled today that Carson Tsai Chun Wai, former director of Hong Kong Central Securities Register Limited (Central Securities Register), was guilty of insider trading in shares of Anning Holdings Limited (00128.HK). Tsai admitted to the insider trading crime. The court remanded him in custody and the case will be adjourned for sentencing until December 18, 2025.
