The journalist learned from the Xinjiang Fire Rescue Brigade that at 15:44 on December 4, 2025, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred in Aheqi County, Kezhou, Xinjiang, with a depth of 10 kilometers and the epicenter at 41.13 degrees north latitude and 78.4 degrees east longitude. Aheqi County felt strong tremors. After the earthquake, the Kezhou Fire Rescue Brigade dispatched a team of 4 cars and 12 people to the epicenter for reconnaissance, while the Kezhou Brigade prepared 15 cars, 60 people, and 2 dogs for deployment. The Xinjiang Fire Rescue Brigade immediately activated the "Xinjiang Fire Rescue Brigade Earthquake Rescue Plan", mobilizing 2 heavy-duty teams, 6 light-duty teams, and 7 mobile teams with a total of 173 vehicles, 770 personnel, and 30 dogs ready for deployment. After verification by local speed reporters, public security, emergency, and earthquake departments, no casualties or reports of collapsed buildings were received. Currently, the transportation, electricity, communication, and public production and living order in Aheqi County are normal.
