TikTok will build its first data center in Latin America in Brazil, with an investment of over 3.7 billion US dollars.

The government of the state of Cear in Brazil announced on December 3 that TikTok will collaborate with data center developer Omnia and Brazilian renewable energy supplier Casa dos Ventos to build a data center in the state, with a project investment exceeding 20 billion reais. This will be TikTok's first data center in Latin America. It is expected that the data center will create over 4,000 job positions during the construction and operation phase.
