South Asia Science and Technology: November revenue reaches a record high. Shortage of DDR4 expected to continue until the first half of next year.
Nanya Technology Corporation announced its consolidated revenue for November was 10.169 billion New Taiwan dollars, an increase of 29% month-on-month and a 365% year-on-year increase, reaching a historical high. Accumulated consolidated revenue from January to November was 54.569 billion New Taiwan dollars, a 71% year-on-year increase, exceeding market expectations. Nanya Technology expects the DDR4 shortage to continue until the first half of next year, with prices expected to remain high and gradually stabilize after the first quarter. In the second half of the year, as PCs and cloud services upgrade to DDR5 and the smartphone market moves to LPDDR5, demand for DDR4 and LPDDR4 will mainly be driven by consumer applications, reducing their overall proportion in the DRAM market. Further observation is needed for changes in supply and demand.
