According to the latest survey by TrendForce, the second half of the year will see the traditional peak season in the mobile phone market, coupled with brands releasing new models one after another, boosting global smartphone production in the third quarter of 2025 by 9% quarterly and 7% annually, reaching 328 million units. The seasonal production momentum is significantly enhanced. The agency stated that flagship brands will continue to release new models in the fourth quarter, and global e-commerce promotions will drive demand. However, the tightening of memory supply and price increases may compress the profit margins of lower-end phones, potentially offsetting some of the growth momentum. The agency forecasts a 1.6% annual increase in global smartphone production in 2025, but does not rule out the possibility of further downward revisions in the annual forecast due to the impact of memory.
