On December 2nd, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Chief Negotiator for International Trade, met with Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of Alstom Group from France. Ling Ji stated that China is accelerating the development of new quality productive forces, promoting the transformation of manufacturing towards high-end, intelligent, and green development. With the continuous improvement of China's urbanization level, there is a broad prospect for the development of rail transit. The Chinese government encourages foreign investment in advanced rail transit equipment and hopes that Alstom will continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and explore third-party markets with Chinese enterprises. Henri Poupart-Lafarge expressed that thanks to the strong support of the Chinese government, Alstom's investment and operations in China have achieved good results. During my visit to China with President Macron, we will sign new commercial agreements with our Chinese partners, and we are full of confidence in long-term development in China. Alstom will continue to increase localization input, dedicate to technological cooperation and expanding reinvestment, and work with Chinese enterprises to cooperate in third-party markets.
