In 2025, the country plans to start the renovation of 25,000 old urban areas. According to statistics reported by various regions, from January to October, a total of 25,100 old urban areas have started renovation projects nationwide. By region, 16 areas including Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have completed their annual plans for renovating old urban areas.
