Samsung Electronics has received half of Nvidia's orders for the 2026 SOCAMM 2 chip.

The Korea Economic Daily reported that, according to industry sources, Samsung Electronics has secured half of the orders for NVIDIA's SOCAMM 2 chip in 2026. NVIDIA needs to procure approximately 20 billion GB of SOCAMM 2 from the global DRAM industry; Samsung has secured approximately 10 billion GB of orders. SK Hynix may take on approximately 6-7 billion GB of orders, with the remaining portion supplied by Micron. Additionally, according to the report, Samsung has completed internal testing of HBM4; if the quality certification results from major customers including NVIDIA are announced as early as this month, Samsung may begin mass production.
