A team at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne has used stem cells to create a brand new three-dimensional organ called "Budoids". This type of organ displays several key features of developing limbs, including symmetry defects and early cartilage formation. The research was published in the latest issue of the journal "Science Advances".
