CASC Aerospace will soon conduct the Low-Hong 1 remote flying test mission on a suborbital flight.
According to China Aerospace News, on December 3rd, the largest domestic plug-in liquid oxygen kerosene engine, the LE-2 110-ton long-range test run was completed, with a cumulative test run time of 140 seconds and a single longest stable operation of 120 seconds. All test indicators were achieved in one trial. Following the successful ground verification of the engine, the company plans to carry out the suborbital flight test mission of the Li Hong-1 remote aircraft in the near future. This test will focus on verifying the re-entry and recovery technology of the returnable payload cabin in the atmosphere, as well as key technology verification for precise landing control of the rocket substage.
