The Ukrainian parliament passes the national budget for 2026.

On December 3rd, local time, the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada passed the second reading of the draft national budget for 2026. Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko introduced that the total revenue of the 2026 Ukrainian national budget is 2.918 trillion hryvnia, with total expenses of 4.781 trillion hryvnia, resulting in a budget deficit of 1.9 trillion hryvnia, accounting for 18.5% of the GDP. Defense remains the largest expenditure item, with allocations of 2.8 trillion hryvnia, of which approximately 1.3 trillion is used for military salaries. Other key areas include social security, education, and healthcare.
