The European Union promotes 70% of key products as "Made in Europe".
According to the Financial Times, citing officials familiar with the draft law, the draft EU "Industrial Acceleration Act" is expected to be submitted on December 10th. This policy may require EU companies to purchase more expensive European components, resulting in costs of over 10 billion euros annually. As part of an industrial policy plan, discussions are ongoing to set localization requirements of up to 70% for specific products such as automobiles. This target may also change depending on the importance and degree of dependence of the industry.
