UNHCR: Conflict spreads in northern Mozambique, nearly 100,000 displaced in two weeks.

The United Nations refugee agency said on the 2nd that attacks on villages in northern Mozambique have been escalating, and the conflict has spread rapidly, forcing more and more people to flee their homes. In just the past two weeks, nearly 100,000 people have been displaced. Giza V Kreyasch, the representative of the UNHCR in Mozambique, said during a video conference press conference that the violence that began in northern Mozambique in 2017 has already led to more than 1.3 million people being displaced.
