The Sino-Vietnamese QR code interoperability project has been implemented in Vietnam.

The China-Vietnam QR Code Interconnection Cooperation Launch Event was held in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, on the 2nd, marking the official launch of the project in the Vietnamese market. It is reported that the project will first serve Chinese consumers traveling to Vietnam. Chinese consumers can use the Cloud QuickPass APP, ICBC Mobile Banking, and other wallets that support the "Cloud QuickPass Network Payment Platform" domestically to make QR code payments at VietQR accepting merchants in Vietnam. Nguyen Quang Minh, General Manager of the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam, stated in his speech that the implementation of QR code bilateral payments is a milestone that will strengthen financial interconnection between the two countries and play a positive role in promoting economic and trade development and tourism between Vietnam and China.
