The Shanghai Cyberspace Administration issued a document stating that on November 14, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Cyberspace Administration, together with the Municipal Housing Management Bureau, the Municipal Public Security Bureau Cyber Security Division, and other departments, launched a special campaign to regulate the online dissemination of real estate information. Since the special campaign began, more than 40,000 pieces of illegal and harmful information, such as negative comments on the real estate market and distorted interpretations of property policies, have been guided to be self-inspected and cleared by platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Bilibili. More than 70,000 illegal real estate accounts have been dealt with, as well as more than 1,200 illegal live streaming rooms, and regular governance notices are being issued.
