Tomorrow morning, cold weather will intensify in many northern regions, with the lowest temperature hitting a new low for the second half of this year. The lowest temperatures in many northeastern areas will drop to -20C. Temperatures in the south will shift from being above average to below average, with many areas from Guizhou to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River only reaching highs around 10C. As the high-altitude trough on the southern side of the "Arctic Vortex" strengthens, a "extremely cold" cold vortex system has formed. Areas in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia are at higher latitudes and closer to this cold air mass. Many areas in the Greater and Lesser Khingan Mountains are experiencing extreme cold weather below -30C, with Tulhihe in Inner Mongolia reaching -38.7C, Genhe at -38.6C, and Mohe at -36.9C.
