The Lan Yong Lin Expressway Xinja Tunnel is now open.

On December 2nd, the key control project of the Lanyong-Linhuang Expressway, the Xinjia Tunnel, constructed by China Railway 20th Bureau, was successfully penetrated. This signifies that the major difficulty of the entire project has been successfully overcome, laying a solid foundation for the Lanyong-Linhuang Expressway to open on schedule. The Xinjia Tunnel is located in Dongxiang County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, in the transitional zone from the Loess Plateau to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The single tunnel has a total length of 9458 meters and belongs to a left-right separation double-hole super-long tunnel. The Lanyong-Linhuang Expressway is a total of 131.86 kilometers long and will effectively divert vehicles from the Lanzhou section of the Wuma Expressway after completion, which is of great significance in improving the highway network in Gansu and promoting economic and social development in the surrounding areas.
