In order to thoroughly implement the important speech and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on developing "replacing plastics with bamboo", conscientiously implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and promote the implementation of the three-year action plan for accelerating the development of "replacing plastics with bamboo", the National Development and Reform Commission's Department of Environmental Protection and Resources held a national on-site meeting to promote the work of "replacing plastics with bamboo" in Nanping City, Fujian Province on November 28th. The meeting systematically summarized the progress and effectiveness of the work of "replacing plastics with bamboo", analyzed the current situation and challenges, and made specific arrangements for improving policies and standards, strengthening innovation driving, enhancing industry development, enriching application scenarios, and deepening international cooperation in the next steps. Representatives from Zhejiang Province, Jiangxi Province, Nanping City of Fujian Province, and Chishui City of Guizhou Province exchanged their local experiences and practices in the work of "replacing plastics with bamboo". Experts from the China Circular Economy Association and the International Bamboo and Rattan Centre delivered special reports. Participants conducted on-site research on relevant "replacing plastics with bamboo" projects in Nanping City, Fujian Province.
