Malaysian Prime Minister: Intel promises to invest $2.08 billion in Malaysia for the chip industry.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar said on December 1st that he met with Intel's CEO, Jason Tan, in the afternoon to discuss the development of the semiconductor industry. Anwar said that Intel will be making an additional investment of 860 million ringgit to establish Malaysia as its operational center for packaging and testing businesses.
