Limited expectations for an increase in pork prices before the Spring Festival.
At the end of the year, the pig market will once again usher in a peak consumption season for festivals. However, against the backdrop of continuously low market prices, the characteristics of this year's traditional festival peak season before the Spring Festival may not be obvious. "The seasonal characteristics of pork consumption in 2025 are further weakened. With the adjustment of residents' dietary structure and the change in consumption concepts, the traditional 'Golden September Silver October' and winter sausage stuffing and cured meat show a decreasing trend year by year," said Gao Tingting, a pork market analyst at Zhuochuang Information. As of the end of November in the fourth quarter, pork prices have been showing a trend of wide fluctuations. Although there was a temporary increase after hitting bottom in October, pork prices fell again in November, approaching the low for the year. Data from Zhuochuang shows that as of November 27, the national average price of pork in November was 15.18 yuan per kilogram, up 2.89% month-on-month but down 28.96% year-on-year. The highest price during the month was 15.76 yuan per kilogram, and the lowest was 14.74 yuan per kilogram.
