Today, it was learned from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that in order to intensify the crackdown on wage arrears, localities should solidly promote the 2025 winter action to address wage arrears, comprehensively investigate hidden dangers of wage arrears, tighten responsibilities from all sides, and cooperate with relevant departments to step up efforts to investigate and handle cases of wage arrears. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development stated that local housing and urban-rural development departments should comprehensively investigate hidden dangers of wage arrears, focus on key areas, key enterprises, and key projects during the New Year and Spring Festival periods, and effectively do a good job in resolving wage arrears and stabilizing work. Responsibilities should be tightened and strengthened to prevent wage arrears issues caused by illegal activities in the construction market and unpaid project funds. Efforts should be made to intensify the concentrated rectification, focus on supervising typical cases of wage arrears for migrant workers, facilitate complaint channels, and strictly implement the responsibility system for initial inquiries. Actively cooperate with the labor and social security departments to increase efforts in handling cases of wage arrears, establish a tracking and closure mechanism, and achieve "payment to individuals, zero liability, and elimination of hidden dangers". Strengthen supervision of wage payment to sanitation workers and take timely measures to address wage arrears problems, implement a "dynamic zero" policy.
