Jiangsu Changzhou introduces new policies to support the purchase of homes.
On December 1st, Changzhou City held a policy briefing session on further supporting the purchase of affordable housing for low-income working groups facing housing difficulties. Building upon the policy of "Supporting low-income working groups facing housing difficulties to purchase newly-built affordable housing" to be implemented by 2025, Changzhou City will further increase support to include the purchase of newly-built affordable housing, expanding to not only support the purchase of newly-built affordable housing, but also the purchase of off-plan properties and existing affordable housing.
Applicants must not own any affordable housing in Changzhou City, or the total building area of the affordable housing they own must not exceed 75 square meters. If the applicant is married, their spouse must also apply as a joint applicant.
Those who purchase affordable housing from the inventory of housing for urgent needs and complete the online signing and filing of the "Real Estate Sales Contract" by December 31, 2026, will receive a housing subsidy of 15% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 200,000 yuan. Those who purchase affordable housing from the inventory of existing affordable housing and complete the real estate transfer registration by December 31, 2026, will receive a housing subsidy of 15% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 180,000 yuan.
