According to the national sentinel monitoring data released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in the 47th week of this year, from November 17th to 23rd, the positivity rate of influenza monitoring in respiratory samples of flu-like cases in emergency departments of sentinel hospitals across the country reached 44.8%. Influenza activity nationwide has overall entered an epidemic level, with some provinces reaching a high epidemic level. Currently, China has entered the peak season for respiratory infectious diseases, and the overall epidemic situation is on the rise, with influenza activity expected to continue to rise. Is it still necessary to get vaccinated at this time? In response to this question, researcher Peng Zhibin of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminds that it is still recommended for people who have not yet received the influenza vaccine to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
