South African President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, warmly welcoming the leaders from around the world. He stated that the G20 Summit being held on the African continent for the first time is a milestone and brings new opportunities for the shared development of Africa and the global community. Ramaphosa announced that South Africa will assume the rotating presidency of the G20 in 2025, with the theme of "unity, equality, sustainability," dedicated to promoting a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable global future.
