On the afternoon of November 22nd, netizens reported that multiple flights to Harbin Taiping International Airport had to make emergency landings, and several outbound flights were either cancelled or delayed. Around 4 pm, a journalist discovered through a flight management app that as of 4 pm on the 22nd, there were a total of 48 emergency landings, 25 delays, and 87 cancellations for inbound flights; and 56 delays and 85 early cancellations for outbound flights. The journalist then contacted Harbin Taiping International Airport, and customer service personnel responded that due to weather conditions, many flights had to make emergency landings in advance. As there were no incoming flights, this caused delays for outbound flights as well. It is currently uncertain when the smog will dissipate, and the resumption of flight schedules is pending. Various airlines are also making arrangements for stranded passengers at the airport.
