On November 21, Meituan announced that it will invest 10 billion yuan in the next five years to build a more comprehensive rider protection system. In cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chongqing, Meituan has launched "Rider Apartments" to provide riders with affordable and secure housing. In response to the riders' family protection needs, Meituan will extend major illness care coverage from riders and their children to spouses and parents, and expand the coverage of the Kangaroo Baby charity program to the children of riders.
