China Telecom (00728.HK) elects Li Huiguang as an independent non-executive director.

Zhtng Cijng APP News, China Telecom (00728.HK) announced that, according to relevant regulations of the China Securities Regulatory Commission regarding the term of office of independent directors, Mr. Yang Zhiwei (Mr. Yang), who has served as an independent non-executive director of the company for a continuous period, has reached the relevant term limit. Mr. Yang has resigned from the positions of independent non-executive director, chairman and member of the remuneration committee, and member of the audit committee and nomination committee. In order to ensure the normal operation of the board of directors and its specialized committees, Mr. Yang's resignation will take effect from the date when the company convenes a special general meeting to elect new independent non-executive directors.
