Hon Hai Technology Group and OpenAI announce collaboration to co-design future generations of AI data center racks.

Foxconn's parent company Hon Hai announced a partnership with artificial intelligence giant OpenAI. On November 21, Hon Hai Technology Group and OpenAI announced that they will collaborate on the design and manufacturing of next-generation AI infrastructure hardware. As part of the partnership, OpenAI will share insights on emerging hardware needs in the AI industry, assist Hon Hai in design and development work, and oversee production at their factories in the United States. OpenAI will have priority in evaluating these systems and have the right to purchase. It is important to note that this preliminary agreement does not include any procurement commitments or financial obligations.
