Li Hongzhong meets with a joint delegation of politicians from Pacific island countries.

On the 21st, Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met in Beijing with a delegation of political leaders from Pacific island countries led by Felix, Speaker of the Parliament and leader of the ruling party of Vanuatu. Li Hongzhong stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the leaders of Pacific island countries, the bilateral relationship has maintained a good momentum of development. China is willing to closely engage with political parties and legislative bodies of island countries to jointly build a closer community of shared future between China and Pacific island countries. Li Hongzhong also introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the CPC's 20th Central Committee. Felix expressed that island countries firmly adhere to the One China principle and are willing to deepen cooperation with China in various fields.
