Recently, the Chinese Consulate General in Dusseldorf noticed that during the Dusseldorf Medical Equipment Exhibition, some Chinese exhibitors experienced a collective food poisoning incident. Upon discovering this situation, our consulate immediately contacted various parties, inquired about the condition of the victims, expressed condolences, and stated our willingness to provide consular assistance at any time. We also urged the suspected catering restaurants to handle the situation prudently, issue an apology, and actively compensate the victims. We requested the local police to enhance the protection of the safety and interests of Chinese institutions, businesses, and citizens in the consular district during large-scale exhibitions. To prevent similar incidents from happening again, our consulate plans to take this opportunity to urge the German-Chinese Catering Association to guide the Chinese catering industry in North Rhine-Westphalia to conduct industry self-regulation and self-inspection actions.
