Peruvian government extends state of emergency in capital and neighboring provinces for 30 days.
The Peruvian government has decided to extend the state of emergency in the capital Lima and the neighboring province of Callao for 30 days starting from November 21, in order to address continued problems of crime and violence. According to Supreme Decree No. 132-2025, the police and armed forces will continue to collaborate, patrol high-risk areas, and take measures to protect vulnerable groups.
