On the morning of November 20th, the Beijing Municipal Cyberspace Administration, together with multiple departments, held a promotion meeting on the prevention and governance of new types of online fraud. The meeting comprehensively analyzed the current situation and characteristics of new types of online fraud cases, and deployed key prevention and control tasks for the next stage. The meeting reported on the overall situation of new types of online fraud cases in the city in 2025, and thoroughly analyzed prominent issues such as the frequent occurrence of fraud through online traffic diversion and the iterative upgrade of fraudulent methods. Each participating department, in accordance with their respective functions and responsibilities, provided risk reminders for key links such as the review of information release on website platforms, compliance operations in the e-commerce sector, risk prevention and control in internet payments, and management of application distribution, clarifying work requirements and directions for improvement. Representatives of key internet companies in the area made statements, expressing their commitment to strictly implement their main responsibilities, strengthen technical control and guidance, and make every effort to do well in anti-fraud work.
