Egypt and Russia sign nuclear fuel procurement agreement.

The Egyptian cabinet issued a statement on the 19th saying that Egypt signed a agreement with the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation for the purchase of nuclear fuel for the Daba nuclear power plant and comprehensive cooperation. According to the statement, the procurement agreement will provide nuclear fuel for the reactor of Unit 1 of the Daba nuclear power plant. The comprehensive cooperation agreement involves cooperation between the two sides in various fields including nuclear power plants and production of medical radioactive isotopes.
