The Bernstein analyst report states that the current uptrend cycle in storage chips is expected to have a negative impact on the camera budget for low-end Android models next year, but the impact on flagship Android models and Apple's supply chain is minimal. These analysts say that after two years of continuous growth, the Android smartphone market may remain flat next year. The analysts suggest that smartphone manufacturers need to strike a balance between product supply, sales volume, and profitability for themselves and their suppliers. They say that for low-end models, price renegotiations are currently underway, and camera specification upgrades may be postponed. The analysts also add that Bernstein does not expect to see an industry-wide trend of specification downgrades like in 2022.
